Section XVI
In 1988 Some Vatican Officials Still Don't Understand
Sister Lucy of Fatima said in 1982 that a number of bishops would need an
intense preparation before they would properly consecrate Russia to the Immaculate
Heart of Mary. As proof of this, several bishops have recently made public statements
or written letters which indicate that this assessment of Sister Lucy is still
accurate in 1988.
Recently, The Fatima Crusader received a letter from a Vatican-based Archbishop
which indicated an enormous lack of knowledge regarding this most urgent matter.
Part I
In response to these grave misunderstandings, Father Gruner was interviewed
in the August 1988 issue of The Fatima Crusader to clarify matters raised by
the Vatican official.
Part II
After reading this book, a number of readers might wonder why such gross misunderstandings
concerning Our Lady's most urgent request continues to exist in the minds of
high Vatican officials. They exist because of the 1962 Vatican-Moscow Agreement.
To help you understand the influence this Agreement has on Cardinals and Archbishops
in the Roman Curia in the 1980's, we reprint at the end of this section a most
illuminating passage from Malachi Martin's book, The Jesuits. This passage
starts on page 602.
